Skibbereen Regatta Postponed

For safety reasons due to expected bad weather conditions, the Regatta has been postponed. We are currently working with Rowing Ireland to arrange an alternative date. Thank you for your continued support.

Welcome to Skibbereen Rowing Club

Skibbereen Rowing Club is one of the most successful clubs in Ireland, with over 136 national titles — ranking second in total championship wins. In 2012, Skibbereen RC were once again the winners of the Grand League Regatta Series.

Founded in 1970, the club continues a strong tradition of rowing in the area and promotes the sport across West Cork. Located on the banks of the River Ilen — a tidal estuary flowing into the sea at Baltimore — our club serves rowers of all ages and skill levels.

Skibbereen boathouse

Since affiliating with the Irish Amateur Rowing Union in 1971, Skibbereen RC has achieved remarkable success, competing at local, national, and international levels. Our 129+ national championship victories and contributions to Irish national teams demonstrate our commitment to excellence.

The club’s facilities include a large boathouse, ergometer room, weights room, gym, meeting room, and changing rooms — all maintained by a passionate volunteer community.
